A lot of the time in business we tend to be very generalized.
We think that this will attract more people.
But when you talk to everyone, you actually talk to no one.
This is a very simple assignment, but I encourage you to take it seriously and set aside 1–2 hours to do it.
Here are the steps:
Go to @the.holistic.psychologist on Instagram.
Pick one of her carousel posts: like this one, or make your own choice.
Crack open your "The Sacred Invitation" workbook and go to pages 11–15 and use the content pieces that you wrote (or pick an old piece of content you wrote) and rewrite it as if you were writing a THP post.
See how accurately specific she is? Like she’s reading your thoughts? How does she know?
Get on this level with your audience. There’s a reason she’s grown to 5M in only 3 years.
Be accurately specific.
The easiest way to do this is — talk to the version of yourself from a few years ago that’s been through it.
But notice how THP doesn’t say things like:
Are you a people pleaser? Are you burned out? Are you living in survival mode?
She asks these questions, but not outright. No one wants to identify with those questions. But, when you set the scene, and get on the level of your client and who you really want to speak to, and get specific — accurately, even creepily — and that is what will make your ideal client’s subconscious go: ding! ding! ding!
