The Wisdom of the Spiral
Chronos, or sequential “chronological” time, is the linear time that modern society adheres to. It is masculine and straightforward — a line. Forward and backward. Black and white. Past and future. Duality in every sense.
Kairos, or soul-time, is more like a spiral. Kairos does not adhere to sequential time, only to the opportune time. That is why it is called “soul time” — the time that is correct for the soul. The moment. The space in-between past and future. The Now.
When we remember that time is a spiral and not a line, we see that time is not actually happening sequentially but appears to be happening all at once, because the only time we truly have is the now. When you are at the center of the spiral, in the present moment, you can collapse time, travel through time, and dilate time. Because there is nowhere to travel to — only a place to simply be.
Time is not linear. It is concentric, spiraling outward from one point — the now.
Think of a time-lapse of a flower growing from a seed into a tall, mature plant. Its path toward the sun is not straight up and down. It does not simply “shoot” into the sky. It spirals.
Within each of our hearts is a central point called a bindu. We each contain our own “self-spin,” which ascends through momentum. It is a thread of light that pulls our spine upright.
Plants have this bindu. You have this bindu. Planets have this bindu, too. Everything is in this spin.
The microcosm is a replica of the macrocosm — higher and lower octaves of one another, spiraling toward and away from each other. These two realities exist on top of one another and are not separate.
So, what do we do with this information? Do we need to fully understand it? How do we integrate it into our lives in a way that is digestible?
Start by feeling it. Before you understand the spiral, feel the spiral. Sit in an easy pose, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Place one hand on each knee. Inhale and curve your spine back. Exhale, right nipple toward the right knee. Inhale back to center, still leaning forward. Exhale, left nipple toward the left knee. Inhale, curve the spine back. Continue for a round of eight breaths, then switch directions.
The central point of every system, microcosm and macrocosm, is called the bindu. It creates a “self-spin” that ascends through momentum. It is a thread of light within everything that allows us to tap into larger forces.
This builds a fractal system, playing out rhythms through mathematics. The bindu in our hearts creates our heartbeat, churning into the spine and the rest of the body. Look at a baby in its earliest stages — it forms as a spiral.
Everywhere that anything is alive, this same system is at play. The inner sun of the heart reflects the outer sun of our solar system, the galactic sun, and beyond. Humpback whales use spin to create bubble nets to nourish themselves. This spin manifests at every level, subtle and gross. Two realities layered on top of each other, always present.
When we understand this process, we can create living structures, sculptures, music, dance, and poetry by tapping into the same rhythm. We can co-create a more cohesive society. We can align with the interplay between lower and higher octaves and the wisdom in their coexistence.
I believe humanity can live at a higher consciousness and wisdom — societies that truly understand and harness the fractal and sacred geometry that nature has mastered with ease.
I share this because I want you to remember how inherently magical you are, despite what you may feel while living in this 3D realm — which is simply a lower octave of what could be.
I have dreamed of this world my entire life, and it is my passion to show you the way. We are all sacred. We are all royalty.
And did you know — sperm do not squiggle side to side, as once thought? They spiral.
