As women operating in the world, a lot of us operate from our wounded feminine. This is because in order to survive, we’ve become masculine and suppressed our non-linear feminine power and replaced it with logic.

We live in abundance. All of us.

When you were born, you were born with 2 million eggs. TWO MILLION.

Men, in every single second of every single day, are generating 1,500 sperm. 1,500 per second. That’s 8 billion every sperm cycle, not even life cycle.

SO MUCH ABUNDANCE.

In the modern world, we have an abundance of clean water, fresh air, and food. Just think how different our lives are today in terms of gathering. We just go to the grocery store.

The first grocery store was invented in 1916. That’s only a little more than 100 years ago.

So why, despite all this abundance, do we live in scarcity?

Well, the main reason is that we are programmed from a very early age to live in scarcity. The reason we are so easily programmed for it, is because for a very long time, humans did live in survival mode. Survival was top of mind, every single day. But now, it’s been replaced with false survival mode, implanted from scenarios in this society that are designed to make us feel powerless & small.

So as women who want to be empowered to make powerful choices in our businesses, we have to truly see the abundance that we live in, and do our best to not give into scarcity. It will happen sometimes, but the idea is to notice it as it’s happening, and reframe.

Here are the most common ways that women succumb to a scarcity mindset:

The first is seeing your business as a source of stress & struggle.

The reframe here is: Your business is your spiritual devotion. Your business is a source of opportunity. Your business is your pathway to abundance. Your business is a source of satisfaction.

Next up we have the Goddess who treats her business like a hobby, therefore, it pays her like a hobby.

This happens when you don’t believe your business can make a living for you, so you continue a soul-sucking job or simply do bread & butter style work instead of fully investing in your business & going all in on it. If you treat your business like a business, it will pay you like a business.

The next form of scarcity happens at the organizational level.

Instead of streamlining your processes & backend systems, it’s a jumbled mess (like a tangle of cables) that only YOU can decode and piece together. This doesn’t allow any room for an abundance of help or assistance from others and limits your business to only YOU. When you have an organized backend, it’s easier for others to step in & support you.

In online business, it’s okay to have multiple offers and multiple ways to get paid. However, don’t fall into the trap of believing that you need offerings in the double digits in order to make enough money. You don’t need 10 diluted revenue streams. You need 1–3 super solid ones. If you want to go to millionaire island, don’t build 10 bridges. Build 1 really strong one, first. This allows for your messaging and offers to be consistent and not all over the place. Your customers won’t be confused.

If you’re constantly worrying about where your next client will come from to pay your bills, then what you have is probably not a lead generation problem, but instead a lead nurturing problem. There are tons of people in your orbit, interested in your work at all times. There are clients in abundance. However, most need to be nurtured and invited into your work. In sales, people often need to see an offer anywhere from 7–10 times before they make a purchase. You’ll be putting out content (generating leads), but you also need to be having conversations (nurturing leads). This will allow you to build a waitlist, create offers based on your conversations, and design consistent revenue streams.

If you’re living in scarcity, you’ll play small, not invest in yourself or put skin in the game of your business. Most people don’t realize that playing small and limiting yourself means growth takes months or years. The moment you go big, see all the abundance around you for what it is, invest in yourself, and take things seriously, growth happens in a much shorter amount of time. Your reasons for playing small are quite literally going to stay your reality if you reinforce the story of them by catering to these problems. Be solution-oriented and BET ON YOURSELF, not your fears.

A scarcity mindset is focused on failure being the most likely option instead of success. However, if you focus on success, you’ll likely fail even more, but you’ll eventually reach success. Not taking action because you’re afraid of failure means no success either. A fear of failure IS a fear of success. It’s a fear of change. Success can be just as uncomfortable as failure for our subconscious. If you aren’t taking action because you’re afraid to fail, you need to focus more on your embodiment practices, nervous system regulation, and leaning into fascination, wonder, & experimentation. An abundance mindset is open, curious, and willing to experiment. An abundance mindset is excited and fascinated with potential outcomes, not afraid of them.

Scarcity mindset also likes to come in with the whole “I don’t know enough” or “I’m an imposter” story. If you think you aren’t smart enough, qualified enough, or that you need a million certifications before you can begin and be successful, you’ll always be chasing that dragon. When you are embodied in your medicine, know the value of what you have to offer, and empowered in your self-mastery, meaning that you know how to course correct when your ego gets loud, you will know deep down that you have an abundance of wisdom to share and channel in the moment, whenever the need arises.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly:

When you’re living in scarcity mindset and not in abundance, you see others as your competitors. You constantly compare yourself to those who are “more” successful. You see other women who offer similar services and programs as women who take your clients or might take your clients.

When you live in abundance, you see these other women as your allies & as colleagues who have proven the concept & validated the market for you. You know that there are billions of people on this planet and that there’s an abundance of clients. You know that there’s absolutely no way that you can serve them all. You’re grateful to these other women in your field because now everyone can be served and receive transformation.

As you can see, retraining the mind away from the wounded masculine & wounded feminine programming takes effort. We’ve been told these stories for the longest time, seen them modeled in TV, movies, and even real life. But it’s up to us to change these stories and write a new, more empowered one.
