Empowerment
The Human Design system is an incredible tool for self knowledge.
It combines a few different well known ancient modalities: Astrology, the Kabbalah, the I Ching, the Hindu chakra system, and even quantum physics.
Traditional western astrology, which most of us are familiar with, covers the personality, the parts of self that we are conscious of. Human Design covers that as well as the "design," the unconscious. Through Human Design you can bridge the gap between the passenger (personality) and the vehicle (the unconscious - the body).
A great place to draw understanding and comparison so you can fully grasp and understand yourself is by relating your type to a Goddess. Through understanding the Goddess of your type, you can better understand yourself.
This doesn’t mean other Goddesses can’t serve as inspiration, in fact, they should. Each type has a strategy, which is supposed to be a way to "live your design," meet less resistance in life, and discover your unique, differentiated potential.
When the Human Design System was created, the strategies actually came first, then the types. ALL strategies can be used by all types, and is highly encouraged.
This is not something most people teach, but I have found that experimenting with all the strategies is beneficial, especially for the woman who wants to embody GODDESS STATUS.
Please study all the following Goddesses, not just the Goddess that corresponds to your type.
GENERATOR: DAKINI
Strategy: Wait to Respond, which is just another way of saying, don't react quickly, follow life's lead as you dance, hone your response-ability aka your ability to respond.
If you answer too quickly, you will always say yes because you have the energy reserves. However, having the energy for something doesn't make it correct for you.
In a tantric dialogue with life is the Generator, the Goddess Dakini. Her body simply knows what is best for her. Her gut instinct is wise beyond reason. Full of energy and intuition, she is the Queen of Response.
She symbolizes the ultimate union of the spiritual with the mundane. The embodiment of “I am what I am.” The Dakini flows and inspires just with her natural reaction and interaction with the stimuli of daily life.
The Dakini is multi-faceted. Generators make up about 35% of the population - yet they are not just all the same. The Dakini embodies both humanity and divinity in feminine form.
The Generator Aura is toroidal in nature, meaning that what is coming is going. The Aura is in a tantric dialogue with life. Ultimately, all women are seen as some kind of Dakini manifestation. Seek satisfaction after any frustration.
MANIFESTING GENERATOR: ISIS
Strategy: Wait to Respond & Inform - Waiting to respond is similar in nature to the Generator Dakini, but it also means, be careful about what you force to happen, just because you can force something, doesn't mean you should. But it also doesn't mean you shouldn't. Discernment is key. Inform simply means, communicate, pray, & announce. More on that with the Manifestor.
Next we have the Manifesting Generator, Isis, the Goddess of Magic. Like the generator Goddess Dakini, she is bursting with energy but only for what she is truly inspired by. Inspiration is her fuel.
Her life force is incredibly sacred and true pleasure is the key to unlock her empowerment. If she is not “turned on” she is uninterested. She can achieve many goals at once, and her power is unstoppable once directed. Like Isis, the Manifesting Generator makes the impossible possible.
Manifesting Generators make up about 35% of the population and have the same toroidally natured Aura as the Dakini Generator. The Manifesting Generator can initiate like a Manifestor, and force things to happen. Much like when Isis' beloved, Osiris, was disembodied and dismembered, and she brought him back to life to conceive. Talk about being turned on.
MANIFESTOR: HATHOR
Strategy: Informing - Overly communicate, pray, & announce. See what I mean by use all the strategies? When has over communicating ever been a bad thing for anyone? If your actions may affect others, please announce them. This is not asking for permission, it's simply a path to shock and disturb those around you as little as possible. You still will, but it won't sting as bad.
The Manifestor Goddess, Hathor, is the Goddess of many things: love, beauty, music, singing, fertility, and pleasure. She is a fierce protector of women and children. It is the Manifestor Goddess' destiny to learn to use her voice for good.
Whether it be public speaking, singing, or writing. She is designed and destined to empower others. But first she must empower herself.
Manifestors make up only 8-9% of the population and have a dense, repelling Aura. It's rubbery, not much enters or sticks. They are cosmic channels and their Aura feels very alien to the other Auras they touch, which can be unsettling for others at the unconscious level.
Manifestors tend to make people uncomfortable, whether it be their Aura or something they said. Their words pack punch and impact, so a lot of them have been conditioned out of speaking their truth from an early age. This can lead to a lot of anger.
PROJECTOR: MARY MAGDALENE
Strategy: Wait for the Invitation. Projectors may feel bummed that they must "wait" for someone else to invite them. But it is actually in their favor to wait until they're recognized for their gifts and then summoned, for then they will be greatly appreciated and their council will be received and followed dutifully, which will be much more satisfying for the Projector Goddess to see their advice become a success.
The Projector Goddess Mary Magdalene is the Goddess of devotion and teaching. She is both student and master. Watcher and watched. The name Magdalene is actually a title, which means "The Magnified One." She is a temple High Priestess and a Tower-ess. She has the sight to see what needs improvement and adjustment.
Projectors make up about 21% of the population but their population is rising because we need them. Projectors have an open, enveloping Aura. It's sticky, and unlike the Generator Aura where things are entering & exiting, things enter and must be consciously cleared & released. They are the great teachers of the human collective and their Aura feels very warm and inviting.
Projectors make people feel seen, cared for, and supported. They can be relied upon, often to their own detriment if they lack boundaries. Projectors in their exaltation are the guides of humanity.
REFLECTOR: FREYA
Strategy: Wait an entire Moon cycle. If the reflector allows themself to be manipulated and influenced by others, they will experience a lot of disappointment. However, if they can tell who is right for them and only surround themselves with those that initiate them in a positive way, they will experience bliss. Reflectors are pure love. They are open channels for love and divine energy to flow through. They are such a gift.
Lastly, we have the Reflector Goddess Freya. She rules discernment, divination, love, and war. Sometimes decisions take time, and that’s okay. It’s a finely honed, spiritual skill to choose what is best for YOUR life, and not just go along with the rest of society.
Freya Reflector Goddesses remind us of our perceptual skills available to us at all times - if we are just patient and willing to reflect. Freya takes her time.
Reflectors make up about 1% of the population and their Aura is wide open and highly influenced by their surroundings. Reflectors will wait for another to initiate them quite often - to do almost anything. They are the vital signs of the collective. If you want to know the health of a society, get the pulse of the Reflectors. They reflect their environment. If they are around addicts, they will be an addict. If they are surrounded by love, they will be pure love. It's actually quite simple.
ABOUT AUTHORITIES
In Human Design, we also have authorities which is where the system gets more intricate and your experimentation can get more precise. If you are just now learning your design, begin by practicing the strategies, especially the one unique to your design.
Then I recommend learning about your own authority and beginning to experiment with that too. A lot of the time, we want to dive right into learning more, getting readings, and before you know it - you've received more information than you can actually implement into your life.
Human Design is a powerful tool where you can begin to recognize your own patterns and course correct.
First, focus on embodying your Goddess, learn about the other Goddess types and play with their strategies. Notice how these Goddesses show up in the other people you interact with.
